James asks…

How do I install Flash Player 10 into Firefox 3?

I’ve decided to make the switch to Firefox from IE. I’m having a problem installing Flash Player. I keep installing it, and everytime I go to my playlist it says I need to enable javascript (which i did) and install flash player (which i’ve done like 5 times)…

Does anyone else have this problem?

admin answers:

1. Http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Download the file to your desktop.
2. When it is finished downloading CLOSE Firefox (this is important).
3. Select and run the install_flash_player.exe file
4. Launch Firefox again and check on http://www.youtube.com that it worked.

If this doesn’t work then do the following:
1. Select Tools->Add-ons
2. Select the Plugins tab
3. Look for the Shockwave Flash plugin and make sure it is enabled.

If this doesn’t work then you need to uninstall Firefox and re-install it.

George asks…

Has anybody had problems installing flash player on vista? how have u gotten it to install?

admin answers:

I’ve had no trouble with it, whatsoever. You may want to make sure you’re logged in with Adminsitrator priviledges.

I just go to http://www.macromedia.com and then click on the Flash Player button and follow the prompts.

Paul asks…

Why do I have problems installing flash player?

Is it because it runs on activeX? I have tried installing it on Firefox; and it won’t work. Same thing on internet explorer. Its frustrating. Has anyone had this problem before?

admin answers:

I had a problem where it kept telling me that I needed the version of flash player. When I went to install it, the site told me I already had the latest version.

After some digging around on the windows ie help boards. I uninstalled flash player, and then installed it fresh from the site. That finally fixed it. Try that and see if does not resolve the issue. Hope this helps.
