Requirements:
- You need a router with DHCP server activated. (Linksys, DLink, SMC, Netgear, etc…)
- PC-PIII or higher with 10Gig hard drive with 256Meg ram minimum.
- High Speed Internet Connection.
The router should be configured on a network 192.168.0.0 with netmask 255.255.255.0, the DHCP server should be activated and configured with IP Address of 192.168.0.1
This tutorial is based on Debian Etch with a static IP address of 192.168.0.100 and server1.example.com as the hostname. This tutorial is intended to people beginning with Debian Linux (One of the best linux distro, this is my personal opinion having installed many distributions). Don’t feel overwhelmed by the number of steps, it’s very easy to install.
